Entering the EU in 2004 Slovenia got extraordinary strategic possibilities at cooperating and quickening of economic development of South - East European countries, especially on the range of Western Balkans, respectively Ex Yugoslavia. The concept of the International Financial and Investment Centre of South East Europe is to establish a centre for the integration and connection of various domestic and international financial institutions (banks, investment funds,…), insurance companies, international real estate businesses, large corporations and companies and international representations for South East Europe in an area of 41.000 m². Within the Centre there will also be located Hotel***** with a conference centre and European Centre for Western Balkans Development. The concept of Hotel***** with conference centre is to ensure on area of 10.000 m², based on the needs of modern businessman, accommodation and supporting capacities, constituting an integrated offer. The concept of the European Centre for Development of Western Balkans is to establish on area of 3.000 m² a development, economic, and political centre adapted to the needs of Western Balkans countries. The Centre will enables these countries to acquaint themselves with guidelines and models of economic development and with political systems of developed countries while their operations will be directed by numerous players from different spheres, included in the Centre, and at the same time, financial resources of European and other investors generated within the International Investment Centre of South East Europe will be implemented as investments in strategical project of the Western Balkans. The effects of synergy will be achieved which will result in faster economic and political development of countries of the Western Balkans.
