According to the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), business and industrial zones are pieces of land which are suitably developed and divided into places of business in accordance with a general strategic plan of development, and at the same time they offer basic infrastructure (electricity, water, roads and telecommunications) and other benefits.
