Business and Tourist Zones

Slovenia as well as the Balkan countries of SE Europe is facing a problem in the fields of economy and tourism, namely a poor recognition in the world. In addition to the poor recognition of Slovenia, some other negative sides of Slovenian tourism need to be addressed, such as: poorly developed tourist infrastructure, poor variety, unsatisfactory quality of tourist products, programs and shortage of prestige tourist capacities in major tourist destinations.

Establishing business and tourist zones - resorts -is surely an answer and the resolution to the afore mentioned issue. The goal of planning such zones is to encourage the development of tourist destinations and increase the general recognition of a destination, offer professional help to the destination management with planning, designing and marketing the entire tourist offer. Additional major goals of business and tourist zones are the restoration and construction of sports and tourist facilities, restoration of buildings which are considered cultural inheritance, and involving them, together with natural heritage, into a comprehensive tourist offer.

At the same time, it is important to undertake the construction of traffic infrastructure itself, which has a crucial importance for the development of tourism. Therefore, business and tourist zones are a collective place of economic development in which all the existing providers and developers of tourism, cultural and natural inheritance as well as countryside to mutually create economic conditions for new investments, investors of new tourist programs, and new tourist products.

All necessary documentation for the launch of the Dobrna Tourist Zone Project is being prepared.
